Housing Affordability Expected to Increase Nation-Wide

It is expected that we will see higher housing affordability and reductions in household debt levels on a national scale.

This is as unemployment on the national level decreases to 5% and job creation skews towards full-time employment rather than part-time, we’re expecting to see a growth in wages nation-wide.

As housing values trend lower and household incomes inch high, we’re seeing improvement in housing affordability which will likely result in improvements in first home buyer numbers.

First home buyer numbers have shown to serge higher in New South Wales and Victoria where stamp duty concessions are made available.

Brisbane housing values are $342,000 lower relative to Sydney and $174,000 lower relative to Melbourne.

This comparative affordability is likely to be a key factor in attracting more migrants into the Brisbane region.
